Training Platform Terms of Use

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Training Platform Terms of Use (the “Training Terms”) govern your access to and use of training.nazarene.org and any other Church of the Nazarene–hosted digital learning, training, or community platforms (collectively, the “Training Platform”).

These Training Terms are in addition to, and incorporate by reference, the Church of the Nazarene Terms of Use applicable to www.nazarene.org (the “General Terms”) and the Church of the Nazarene Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between these Training Terms and the General Terms, these Training Terms shall control with respect to your use of the Training Platform.

By accessing, enrolling in, or participating in the Training Platform, you agree to be bound by these Training Terms. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to use the Training Platform.

1. Eligibility and Authority

By using the Training Platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or have obtained appropriate parental or organizational consent;

• You have the legal authority to enter into these Training Terms on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent;

• Your use of the Training Platform is consistent with the mission, values, and tenets of the Church of the Nazarene.

The Church of the Nazarene reserves the right to deny or revoke access to the Training Platform at its sole discretion.

2. Nature of Training Content

Training materials provided through the Training Platform may include courses, videos, readings, assessments, live or recorded sessions, discussion forums, and other educational resources (“Training Content”).

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

• Training Content is provided for informational, formational, and ministry-development purposes only;

• Participation does not constitute academic credit, licensure, certification, counseling, or professional advice;

• Completion certificates, where offered, are non-academic and non-transferable.

The Church of the Nazarene makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, competencies, or results arising from participation in the Training Platform.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information;

• Notify the Church of the Nazarene promptly of any unauthorized use of your account;

• Access only those courses or communities for which you are authorized.

The Church of the Nazarene may suspend or terminate accounts that are inactive, inaccurate, or in violation of these Training Terms.

4. Community Participation and Conduct

The Training Platform may include discussion boards, learning communities, comments, or other interactive features (“Communities”). These Communities are moderated learning environments.

By participating in Communities, you agree to:

• Engage respectfully and constructively;

• Refrain from harassment, intimidation, discriminatory language, or abusive behavior;

• Avoid sharing misleading, false, or harmful information;

• Honor the spiritual, cultural, and vocational diversity of participants;

• Refrain from conduct inconsistent with the beliefs and mission of the Church of the Nazarene.

The Church of the Nazarene reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, moderate, edit, or remove Community content and to suspend or remove participants at its sole discretion.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit within the Training Platform (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant the Church of the Nazarene a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for purposes of operating, facilitating, and improving the Training Platform.

You represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to submit the User Content;

• Your User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party;

• Your User Content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or abusive material;

• You will not submit personally identifiable information about individuals under the age of 13.

User Content shared within Communities is intended for limited educational and formational use within the Training Platform and should not be redistributed outside the platform without permission.

6. Confidentiality and Sensitive Disclosures

Training discussions may involve ministry experiences, personal reflections, or sensitive topics. While the Church of the Nazarene encourages respectful confidentiality among participants, it cannot guarantee confidentiality of information shared within Communities.

Participants are responsible for exercising discretion in what they choose to share.

7. Intellectual Property

All Training Content is owned by or licensed to the Church of the Nazarene and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may:

• Access Training Content for your personal, ministry, or organizational development;

You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display Training Content without express written permission;

• Share login credentials or course materials with unauthorized individuals.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

The Training Platform is supported by third-party service providers. While the Church of the Nazarene selects providers with care, it does not control and is not responsible for:

• Service interruptions;

• Platform feature changes;

• Technical limitations or outages.

Use of the Training Platform is subject to the technical constraints of these providers.

9. Disclaimers

THE TRAINING PLATFORM AND ALL TRAINING CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Participation in training is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church of the Nazarene shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Training Platform.

Any liability shall be limited as set forth in the General Terms of Use.

11. Termination

The Church of the Nazarene may suspend or terminate your access to the Training Platform at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Training Terms or for any reason consistent with its mission and responsibilities.

Upon termination, your right to access Training Content and Communities will cease immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Training Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Missouri, consistent with the General Terms of Use.

13. Modifications

The Church of the Nazarene reserves the right to modify these Training Terms at any time. Continued use of the Training Platform following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
